Went to pay our rent to Señora Nelly, the dear Peruvian abuelita who lives downstairs, and returned with a potted plant for our courtyard, two tiny
rocoto peppers from her garden, an apple and a grenadía she took from a basket in her kitchen. These are days when Peru feels like home.

Love it. Miss you, cute friend!
Miss you, too! And you don't even know cute. Señora Nelly is short and round and looks like a little Italian grandmother. I think she's going to take me with her to the market this weekend, but sometimes I get kind of confused when we talk (she seems to have very fluid boundaries between past and present and gets easily distracted).
